I've been urged to read Angela Carter for years now but haven't gotten around to it. I start to wear black all the time. They include "The Company of Wolves", on which the prize-winning film of the same name was based. But I'd suggest starting with The Bloody Chamber and other stories. Fantasy: The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories by Angela Carter. Then again, to be fair, this book is a good light read. My mood dips each time I read dark books/stories. 've had a bit of a break from the old personal work front so I decided what better way to start the New Year than by entering the book illustration competition for Angela Carter's 'The Bloody Chamber and other stories'.
